Utah State Track & Field Celebrates 11 All-Mountain West Selections

LOGAN, Utah – In an impressive showcase of talent, Utah State University’s track and field team secured 11 student-athletes named to the 2025 Outdoor Track & Field All-Mountain West team, as announced by the conference on Wednesday. This achievement places Utah State tied for the fourth-most selections within the conference, following New Mexico, Colorado State, and San José State.

The honorees include standout performers from both the men’s and women’s teams. Graduate Brennan Benson, senior Nate Franz, juniors Logan Hammer, Marshall Rasmussen, Javin Richards, sophomores Landon Bott, Walker Deede, and Joseph Turner, along with freshmen Ayodele Ojo and Taite Priestley represented the men, while sophomore Shelby Jensen marked the women’s achievements. Notably, Benson, Franz, Hammer, Rasmussen, Bott, and Priestley also received all-conference honors during the indoor season.

The championships featured several exhilarating performances, including Bott’s golden moment in the men’s 800 meters with a time of 1:49.68. He was closely followed by Benson, who captured bronze. Hammer achieved a remarkable milestone by winning his third consecutive outdoor title in pole vault, clearing an impressive 5.65 meters, while Rasmussen and Richards contributed to a podium sweep for the Aggies.

In the women’s events, Jensen shone brightly, securing silver in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a school-record time of 9:48.44. Deede brought home silver in the men’s javelin, and Ojo marked a milestone victory with silver in the men’s 100 meters.

As postseason preparations commence, athletes look ahead to the NCAA West First Rounds in College Station, Texas, set for May 28-31. Fans are encouraged to follow the team on social media for updates and highlights.
