Headline: Larry H. Miller Company Takes Title Sponsorship of Utah Open
Provo, UT — In an exciting new era for Utah golf, the Larry H. Miller Company (LHM) has officially assumed sponsorship of the Larry H. Miller Utah Open, following a partnership spanning 24 years with Siegfried & Jensen. This transition marks a significant milestone, as the prestigious tournament, which dates back to 1926, approaches its 100th anniversary next year.
The announcement was made during the pro-am rounds at Riverside Country Club, where CEO Steve Starks expressed enthusiasm for the company’s involvement. “Talk about a perfect fit,” stated Devin Dehlin, executive director of the Utah Section PGA. “LHM is deeply rooted in the community and committed to sports, making this partnership a natural alignment.”
The Utah Open will run from Friday through Sunday, featuring professional golfers competing for a $25,000 top prize alongside local amateurs. Starks emphasized the importance of supporting community engagement through sports, highlighting the company’s ongoing relationship with the Special Olympics and participation in events like the Special Olympics Utah Short Game Challenge.
Riverside Country Club’s role in the tournament’s success has been pivotal since its hosting began in 2014, with a new two-year extension secured, ensuring the event’s home through at least 2027. As the tournament kicks off, notable participants include former PGA Tour players and local golfing stars, with the field expected to be competitive.
Both Starks and Dehlin have expressed a vision for enhancing the tournament experience and further engaging the community. Dehlin anticipates a bright future ahead, saying, “This is a great home for the Larry H. Miller Utah Open. We would love for it to stay here for the long haul.”
