Utah Primary Elections Update: Mayoral Race Results
Several cities and towns across Utah held primary elections on Tuesday, focusing on mayoral, city council, and school board positions. Preliminary results have been announced, for which the official numbers are still subject to change as additional ballots are counted.
In Cache County, Hyrum’s Steve J. Miller leads with 65.7% of the vote, while Logan’s Mark A. Anderson has 66.55%. Over in Weber County, Marriott-Slaterville’s Les Syme garnered 50.77%, and North Ogden’s Ryan M. Barker received 43.59%. In Davis County, Joy Petro leads Layton City with 59.21% of the votes, while West Point’s Brian Vincent holds 49.82%.
Salt Lake County’s results show Paul Fotheringham in Holladay leading with 45.31%. Nearby, Brett A. Hales tops Murray City with 60.07%, and Riverton City’s Tish Buroker gained 60.26%. In Utah County, Provo’s Michelle Kaufusi stands at 50.05%, and Spanish Fork’s Mike Mendenhall is at 65.42%.
