$10 Million Secured to Enhance ClarosTechUV’s PFAS Destruction Technology

Claros Technologies Secures $10 Million to Accelerate PFAS Destruction Solutions

Minneapolis, MN – Claros Technologies has raised $10 million through convertible notes to expedite the launch of its innovative ClarosTechUV PFAS Destruction System. This funding arrives amid intensifying global regulations surrounding per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), compelling manufacturers to seek effective solutions for compliance.

The convertible note was backed by a diverse group of investors, including Capita3, the University of Minnesota, American Century Private Investments, and the F. R. Bigelow Foundation, alongside new strategic partners. Together, they share a commitment to support Claros in its mission to tackle environmental challenges and enhance its market position.

Since its inception, Claros has garnered a total of $39 million in funding, which includes previous grants and investments. The latest funding will be instrumental in scaling the ClarosTechUV PFAS Destruction System, expanding pilot and installation programs internationally, and developing commercial operations in key markets, including North America, Europe, and Asia.

Key milestones include a recent successful pilot with Daikin America, where the system achieved a remarkable 99.99% destruction rate for targeted PFAS in high-flow wastewater. Michelle Bellanca, CEO and Co-Founder of Claros, hailed this achievement as a turning point for industrial operations, underscoring the system’s potential to efficiently eliminate all PFAS species cost-effectively.

With environmental pressures mounting, Claros is positioned as a leader in addressing the urgent need for reliable PFAS solutions. Steve Sefton, Chairman of Clearwater Equity, emphasized the company’s critical role in redefining industry standards, while Kathy Tune, Managing Partner at Capita3, expressed confidence in Claros as a key player in shaping the future of PFAS management.

As potential economic incentives loom, Claros is set to revolutionize how industries handle and mitigate PFAS waste, aligning with tightening global regulations.
