Perrion Williams Commits to Utah Football, Boosting 2025 Recruiting Class

SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah football program has secured its second commitment of the weekend, as Archbishop Riordan three-star receiver Perrion Williams officially pledged to join Kyle Whittingham’s squad. Williams announced his commitment during a weekend filled with official visits, becoming the eighth player in Utah’s 2025 recruiting class.

Following an impressive two seasons where he recorded 95 catches for 1,312 yards and 16 touchdowns over 25 games, Williams brings a formidable skill set to Utah. He holds a three-star rating as an athlete but has officially committed as a receiver, despite interest from other programs, including Minnesota, Oregon State, and Washington State. Coach Micah Simon made him a recruitment priority, ultimately leading to this decision.

As part of the visiting group, Williams was joined by notable recruits such as five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo and four-star receivers Jaron and Kennan Pula. His commitment adds to a diverse recruiting class that includes several skilled players such as running back LaMarcus Bell and quarterback Michael Johnson.

At 6 feet and 163 pounds, Williams is expected to excel in the slot receiver position within offensive coordinator Jason Beck’s scheme. His athleticism and playmaking ability can be utilized across different phases of the game, including the run game and short-to-intermediate routes. With the potential for improvement in areas like consistency, Williams is recognized for his speed and ability to create separation, positioning him to become a significant threat in Utah’s offense.
