Students Urged to Embrace Technology for Career Success
HYDERABAD — V Balakista Reddy, the chairman of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, emphasized the importance of technological proficiency for students during an awareness program about admission to engineering colleges at JNTU-Hyderabad. Addressing TG EAPCET students on Saturday, Reddy highlighted that regardless of their field of study, students must not overlook the significance of technology.
Reddy pointed out the dynamic changes brought about by technology in the 21st century, particularly noting the impact of artificial intelligence (AI). "I use two buzzwords to describe the digital age: NET and A-Z technology,” he stated. "NET" refers to new and emerging technology, while "A-Z" signifies a technological innovation for each letter of the alphabet—from A for artificial intelligence to B for bitcoin.
Emphasizing the pervasive influence of AI, Reddy remarked that it will have the most substantial effect on various sectors. "As a country with the largest youth population in the world, we have an exceptional opportunity to lead if we keep pace with advancements in technology,” he noted.
In addition to stressing the importance of AI, Reddy encouraged students to explore engineering disciplines beyond just computer science, advocating for a broader approach to career options in technology-related fields.
His remarks come during a crucial time as students prepare for their engineering admissions, underscoring the imperative for future professionals to be well-rounded and equipped with contemporary technological skills to thrive in a rapidly evolving job market.
