New Brewpub Opens in West Valley City, Featured in Utah Eats
West Valley City welcomes a fresh addition to its culinary scene with the grand opening of Rabbit’s Foot Brewing Co. at 3318 Decker Lake Drive. This new brewpub is a collaboration between local favorites Lucky 13 and Bewilder Brewing, spearheaded by managing partner Cody McKendrick and Lucky 13 co-owners Rob Dutton and Ron Lay.
The brewpub, which opened on May 17, evolved from the former Penalty Box Bar & Grill, a choice made by McKendrick to fill a brewing void in the city. While Rabbit’s Foot is not yet brewing its own beer due to elevated equipment costs influenced by tariffs, it currently serves a selection of beers brewed by Bewilder, including the Beach Bunny Cerveza and Hare of the Dog IPA.
In addition to beer, Dutton is revamping the food offerings, introducing new items like a custom pizza system and Lucky 13 burgers, all featuring high-quality ingredients. The establishment is open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., offering a vibrant atmosphere to enjoy great food and drinks. For those attending events at the nearby Maverik Center, a limited menu is available on game nights.
