Utah Track & Field Wraps Up Historic Season at NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – The Utah track & field program concluded a remarkable 2024-25 season on Thursday at the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held at Hayward Field.

The day kicked off with the Utah women’s 4x100m relay team, featuring Emily Rose, who ran an impressive time of 43.86 seconds—just 0.02 seconds shy of their own record set earlier this season (43.85). This marks a significant achievement for the team and highlights their consistency throughout the year.

In the 10,000m finals, Morgan Jensen and McKaylie Caesar maintained close positions, finishing in 19th and 20th place, respectively. Jensen clocked in at 33:11.05 and Caesar at 33:34.36. Despite a strong start, the athletes struggled to keep pace with the lead group as they had during the West Regional Championships. Jensen wraps up her collegiate career ranks second all-time at Utah for the 10,000m event, while Caesar stands fourth.

Jensen’s achievements also include a ninth-place finish in the outdoor 5000m event. Meanwhile, Rose finishes her Utah career having left an indelible mark, ranking fifth in the 100m and contributing to record-breaking relay teams.

Kealamakia has also secured her place in the record books, ranking sixth in the 100m, fifth in the 200m, and eighth in the 400m hurdles. Her pivotal role in multiple relay teams cements her status as a key contributor to Utah’s success.

As the season wraps up, the Women of Utah will take a much-deserved break while some athletes prepare for upcoming competitions this summer, aiming for spots in the World Championships in Tokyo.
