Press Release: Utah Athletics Announces Post-Graduate Internship Award Recipients
SALT LAKE CITY – The University of Utah Athletics Department has announced that former standout women’s basketball player Jenna Johnson and gymnastics star Maile O’Keefe will be the recipients of the prestigious Anne Osborn Post-Graduate Internship Award for the 2025-26 season. This award, now in its second year, is designed to support former female student-athletes who have completed their eligibility but demonstrate exceptional potential for leadership in collegiate athletics.
Jenna Johnson, who earned her bachelor’s degree in operations and supply chain earlier this year, will assume the role of assistant graduate coach for the women’s basketball team, following in the footsteps of previous awardee Dasia Young. Johnson was a pivotal player for the Utes, leading the team to its first NCAA Tournament appearance in over a decade.
Maile O’Keefe, a four-time national champion and recognized for her leadership qualities, will transition from her position as a graduate assistant coach for gymnastics to an operations specialist role as Grace McCallum takes over the coaching duties. O’Keefe holds multiple records in Utah gymnastics, including the most career 10.0s, showcasing her talent and commitment to excellence.
The Anne Osborn Post-Graduate Internship Award, endowed by distinguished University of Utah professor Anne G. Osborn, aims to cultivate future leaders in women’s collegiate athletics. Recipients are required to engage actively in their assigned roles while undergoing professional development and mentorship through the Utah Athletics Department.
As both Johnson and O’Keefe embark on this new chapter, they are committed to utilizing their experiences to support and inspire the next generation of student-athletes within the program.
