Utah Valley University Unveils Exciting 2025 Women’s Volleyball Schedule

OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University (UVU) head women’s volleyball coach Sam Atoa announced the 2025 schedule, featuring intense in-state rivalries and a robust nonconference slate that includes six teams fresh off postseason appearances. The Wolverines will face all NCAA Division I in-state rivals, presenting home opportunities against Utah State and BYU.

"This upcoming season is just around the corner, and I am thrilled about the challenges ahead," said Atoa. "We have created a strong schedule to build upon last year’s successes and have high expectations for this group."

The season kicks off with the Utah Valley Invitational, starting on August 29, where UVU will host Montana and Navy, culminating with a match against Boise State, who finished 19-10 last season. The Wolverines’ first road trip will lead them to the Outrigger Invitational in Hawaii, where they will compete against San José State, St. John’s, and the defending Big West champions, Hawaii.

In-state competition begins on September 9 against Utah, who reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season. UVU will continue its nonconference schedule with matches against Duke and Coastal Carolina, leading up to home games against Utah State and BYU.

The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) schedule features 12 home-and-home matches, commencing with home games against Abilene Christian and Tarleton State. Notable rivalries include the Old Hammer Rivalry at Utah Tech, with the final stretch of the season consisting of crucial home matches leading to the WAC Tournament at Lockhart Arena from November 20-22, where an automatic NCAA Tournament bid will be at stake.

With a promising lineup, the Wolverines aim for an impactful 2025 season.
