Explore Sasquatch Sightings in Utah at Provo Exhibit
SALT LAKE CITY — A new exhibit in Provo dives into the lore surrounding Sasquatch sightings in Utah, showcasing a rich tapestry of local folklore that includes Bigfoot, lake monsters, and ghost stories. Curated by local folklorist Danny B. Stewart, the collection features over 400 pieces of original folklore gathered over the years.
The exhibit is also the brainchild of Logan Wolf, who created a historical timeline for Bigfoot in Utah. "I’m not a Bigfoot hunter," said Wolf, "but I think our stunning parks spark wanderlust and curiosity." Among the displayed stories is a notable 2019 sighting in Provo’s foothills, which garnered 1.6 million views on YouTube.
While questions of truth linger, the exhibit invites visitors to appreciate the mystery. “I don’t care if any of this is true,” Stewart remarked, emphasizing the importance of shared community narratives. The Bigfoot in Utah exhibit is available for viewing on the second floor of the Provo City Library until Saturday. Those interested in exploring these enticing tales are encouraged to visit and form their own conclusions on the enigmatic figure of Sasquatch.
