Chick-fil-A Tests New Jalapeño Ranch Club Chicken Sandwich in Salt Lake City
SALT LAKE CITY — Chick-fil-A is once again looking to its thriving Salt Lake City market to pilot a potential new menu item. For the next month, the fast-food giant is introducing an exclusive jalapeño ranch club chicken sandwich, featuring pepper jack cheese, caramelized onion-flavored candied bacon, lettuce, tomato, and pickled jalapeños, all housed in a toasted buttermilk ranch bun.
Customers can choose between Chick-fil-A’s original, spicy, or grilled chicken filet, and the sandwich is designed to pair perfectly with a side of Jalapeño Ranch Sauce for added flavor. The new item officially launched in the Salt Lake City area on Monday and will be available until July 19, when Chick-fil-A will evaluate its potential for nationwide distribution.
Chick-fil-A has a history of utilizing Utah as a test market. Previous successful trials include the popular Icedream Spin, the Icedream Float, and the "autumn spice" milkshake, which originated in Salt Lake City before a wider rollout. The chain has consistently ranked as the most-visited fast-food restaurant in Utah, further highlighting the state’s importance in their menu innovation strategy.
