Utah Local Reaches Out About Friend Who’s Missing

Missing Utah Woman Sparks Concern in Colorado

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – A frightening situation has arisen as Caroline Goncalvez, a woman traveling from Utah to Denver, has been reported missing by her friend, Megan Clark. Goncalvez was last contacted following a police stop on I-70 near Fruita, where she described a peculiar encounter with law enforcement. After being pulled over and asked to sit in the officer’s back seat, she communicated her discomfort with the situation.

During a subsequent phone call, Goncalvez mentioned she was being "arrested or detained," but did not provide details about her location. Her last known communication was with her father, in which she expressed concern and a desire for him to inquire further.

Goncalvez’s phone was traced to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) field office in Grand Junction. Efforts by her family and friends to reach ICE for information about her status have been largely unfruitful. ICE confirmed they perform detainment for violations of immigration laws but did not confirm Goncalvez’s situation.

Concern continues to grow among friends and family as they seek answers and clarity regarding Goncalvez’s whereabouts. Authorities have yet to release further information.
