Haut and Robinson Chosen for TopConnect Basketball Symposium

Utah State Coaches Invited to 2025 TopConnect Basketball Symposium

Salt Lake City, UT – Utah State men’s basketball associate head coach Eric Haut and assistant coach Mantoris Robinson have been selected to participate in the esteemed 2025 TopConnect Basketball Symposium on June 9, at the Marriott Village in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. This prestigious event, established by Dr. Richard Sander, Athletic Director at East Tennessee State University (ETSU), aims to connect top assistant coaches with mid-major athletic directors, fostering valuable networking and leadership growth.

In its eighth installment, the symposium features a comprehensive educational program that allows attendees to learn from a lineup of prominent coaches and industry leaders. Athletic directors expected at the event include Mark Benson (University of Albany), Anthony Henderson (Hampton University), Mark Wharton (University of Tennessee, Chattanooga), Nico Yantko (Murray State University), and Jon Schemmel (University of South Dakota).

Key panel discussions will cover critical topics such as the hiring process for coaches, insights for first-time head coaches, the current landscape of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL), and more. A highlight of the symposium is the return of the "Speed Dating" networking session, enabling dynamic interactions between assistant coaches and athletic administrators.

Emphasizing its mission, TopConnect promotes the mantra "Connect. Prepare. Lead." Since its inception in 2018, the program has seen over 50 participants ascend to roles as head coaches, athletic directors, and conference commissioners.

For further inquiries regarding TopConnect, please contact Dr. Richard Sander at sander@etsu.edu. The symposium is organized in collaboration with Connected Media, LLC and ETSU’s Doctoral program in Global Sport Leadership.
