Utah Football Program Targets Elite 2027 Tight Ends

The University of Utah’s football program is making significant strides in recruiting top talent, particularly among the tight ends in the class of 2027. The Utes have recently extended offers to standout prospects, including Cooper Terwilliger and Titus Hawk, both heralded as elite contenders in their positions.

Cooper Terwilliger has garnered attention as the No. 10 tight end in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. Meanwhile, fellow four-star recruit Titus Hawk is quickly rising in prominence. Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 210 pounds, Hawk hails from Choctaw High School in Oklahoma, where he is ranked as the No. 14 tight end and No. 200 national recruit for 2027.

After an impressive sophomore season, where he recorded 20 catches for 365 yards and seven touchdowns across ten games, Hawk’s athletic prowess has attracted offers from nearly 20 major programs. Prominent names in the recruitment mix include Purdue, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Miami, and Kansas. Additionally, local powerhouses such as Oklahoma State, Kansas State, TCU, and Texas Tech are also in contention.

Hawk confirmed his offer from Utah via social media, further illustrating the Utes’ growing influence in his recruitment process. The young athlete, the son of former Oklahoma State baseball player Shane Hawk, has yet to take official visits, but is poised for a promising future on the gridiron.

As the Utes continue their push for top-tier talent, their efforts in securing commitments from rising stars like Terwilliger and Hawk indicate a bright path ahead for the Utah football program. Fans and analysts alike will be watching closely as the recruitment season unfolds.
