Utah Family Receives Much-Needed Support for Fresh Start
SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A Utah family of five is embracing a new beginning thanks to the NorthStar Hope Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to assisting families in crisis. Tiffany and her partner Collin have been living in their living room for the past year to ensure their four-year-old son, Enikk, who is autistic, has his own space. "My son kind of took over my room," Tiffany explained.
With escalating needs for Enikk and Tiffany leaving her job to care for him, the family’s finances became strained, making it difficult to afford basic necessities. As they prepare to move to a larger home, NorthStar Hope Foundation provided essential furniture, greatly alleviating their struggles. “This dresser is amazing,” said Collin, expressing gratitude for the support they’ve received.
Founded by Jay Tobey, NorthStar aims to bring hope and assistance during tough times. Tiffany and Collin are thrilled for the change, emphasizing how crucial community support is for families like theirs.
In a special surprise highlighting community efforts, Mountain America Credit Union presented NorthStar Hope Foundation with a donation to further its mission of uplifting families in need. “They’re just trying to get a leg up in life,” Tobey remarked.
