Leadership Changes in Utah Legislature Following Jefferson Moss’s Resignation

Salt Lake City, UT – The Utah House Majority Caucus has elected new leaders following the resignation of Rep. Jefferson Moss, who stepped down to become the executive director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity. In a special closed-caucus election held late Tuesday, Rep. Casey Snider of Paradise was appointed House majority leader. Snider previously held the position of majority assistant whip and expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to serve.

"Our leadership team is committed to serving with integrity and advancing meaningful policy for all Utahns," Snider stated. Alongside him, Rep. Candice Pierucci from Herriman has been named the new House majority whip, and Rep. Bridger Bolinder from Grantsville is now the assistant whip. Pierucci thanked her colleagues for their trust, emphasizing the team’s eagerness to make a lasting impact on Utah families and communities. Bolinder echoed this sentiment, expressing his readiness to advocate for every voice within the caucus.

Speaker Mike Schultz congratulated the newly appointed leaders, affirming their commitment to represent the interests of all Utahns effectively during the 2025-2026 term.
