Fanatics Takes Over Operations at Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth Team Stores Amid Delta Center Renovations

SALT LAKE CITY – Exciting changes are underway at the Delta Center as it embarks on a multi-year renovation aimed at enhancing the experience for hockey and basketball fans. A significant shift in retail operations has been announced, with Fanatics set to assume management of the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth team stores starting June 1.

As part of a comprehensive partnership, Fanatics will oversee both in-store and online retail operations, transforming the shopping experience for fans. The Team Store at the Delta Center will be temporarily closed from June 2 to June 8 for the transition.

“Fanatics is a global leader in sports retail, and we are eager to leverage their expertise to create a tech-forward shopping experience,” said Chris Barney, president of revenue and commercial strategy for Smith Entertainment Group (SEG). He emphasized the importance of this shift in enhancing fan engagement at Delta Center and beyond.

In August 2025, fans can expect an expanded selection of merchandise from top brands like Nike, New Era, and Mitchell & Ness. New offerings will include premium headwear, collectibles, and both replica and authentic jerseys for the Jazz and Mammoth, with specific release dates to be announced.

To further elevate the shopping experience, innovative technologies such as Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) will be introduced for swift checkout processes. Ed O’Brien, SVP of Business Development at Fanatics, expressed excitement about joining forces with SEG, promising an unparalleled retail experience for Utah’s passionate sports community.

Additionally, the online stores for both teams will operate under Fanatics’ management, enhancing accessibility for fans. As the Mammoth gears up for its next major event, the NHL Draft on June 27-28, these changes mark a dynamic new chapter for Utah’s sports landscape.
