Press Release: Lehi Police Investigate Auto-Pedestrian Crash Involving 14-Year-Old Girl
LEHI, Utah — A 14-year-old girl was critically injured in an auto-pedestrian accident late Friday night, prompting her to be airlifted to a Salt Lake City hospital. The collision occurred around 11:13 p.m. near 500 West 100 North, directly outside the Lehi Round-Up Rodeo Grounds, where attendees were leaving a multi-state dance event.
Witnesses reported that the girl was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound as she and others exited the venue. Nearby officers and bystanders quickly provided first aid before paramedics arrived. The girl, suffering from significant head trauma, was initially transported to a local hospital before being airlifted for advanced medical care. Her current condition remains unknown.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with the investigation. As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
