Desperate Search for Missing South Jordan Teen
SOUTH JORDAN, Utah (KUTV) — Nikolai Petrov is anxiously awaiting the return of his 15-year-old daughter, Alisa, who has been missing since April 21, 2025. Alisa vanished after leaving a train platform in Provo, following an alleged act of running away from school. "The best outcome would be if she just walked in the door and said, ‘Hey, I’m back,’" Nikolai expressed.
Recent developments have transpired as two men were arrested in connection with Alisa’s disappearance. Matthew Menard, from Miami, turned himself in, and Samuel Mitchell of Herriman was apprehended by local authorities. Both were reportedly communicating with Alisa prior to her disappearance. According to Nikolai, messages indicated that Menard had advised Alisa on how to escape and avoid being found, contributing to the family’s distress.
While the focus remains on Alisa’s safe return, Nikolai emphasized that finding his daughter is more important than arresting those involved. He is urging the community to share any information that might assist in locating Alisa, hoping for her safe return soon.
