EA Sports Unveils Dual Covers for “College Football 26”
EA Sports announced the release of two covers for its highly anticipated video game, “College Football 26,” on Tuesday. The standard edition features standout sophomore wide receivers Ryan Williams from Alabama and Jeremiah Smith from Ohio State, while the deluxe edition boasts a collage of current players, coaches, mascots, fans, and notable former stars.
Evan Dexter, Vice President of Franchise Strategy and Marketing for EA Sports College Football, expressed excitement over the choice of cover athletes, stating, "With College Football 26, we’re celebrating our sophomore season with two generational sophomore wide receivers on the cover and we can’t wait for the world to experience even more heart and authenticity across athletes, stadiums, coaches, and fans."
The deluxe edition cover is especially vibrant, showcasing familiar faces like Tim Tebow, Reggie Bush, and Denard Robinson—each of whom previously graced the cover of earlier editions. The cover also highlights seven prominent coaches, including Notre Dame’s Marcus Freeman and Georgia’s Kirby Smart, alongside several current players like Clemson’s Cade Klubnik and Penn State’s Nick Singleton.
Notably absent from this year’s cover are BYU and Utah, which sparked a conversation among fans. Despite BYU finishing last season ranked No. 13 on the AP Top 25, they were not featured, leading to frustration among fans who believed they deserved recognition based on their performance compared to other teams included in the game.
“College Football 26” is now available for pre-order and is set to launch on July 10. The official reveal trailer is expected to drop Thursday morning, further building anticipation among college football enthusiasts and gamers alike.
