Utah State Athletics Achieves Academic Milestone
LOGAN, Utah – Utah State Athletics celebrated a remarkable achievement during the spring 2025 semester, as its 360 student-athletes recorded a cumulative GPA of 3.51 and a term GPA of 3.57—the highest in department history. This marks the 46th consecutive term since fall 2002 that all student-athletes maintained a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Diana Sabau, Vice President and Director of Athletics, praised the student-athletes for their academic dedication, noting that 90% achieved a term GPA of 3.0 or more, while 86% surpassed that threshold for their cumulative GPA—an increase from 80% in fall 2024. Additionally, 86 student-athletes made the Dean’s List, a 20-person rise from the previous semester.
Women’s teams excelled with a 3.71 term GPA, while men’s programs achieved a 3.44, both setting new program highs. Every varsity team excelled, achieving a 3.0 or higher in both term and cumulative GPAs for the second consecutive semester.
