DAVIS COUNTY, Utah, May 26, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) – A hiker who fell over 20 feet near the lower falls in Adams Canyon was safely rescued on Monday thanks to the quick actions of bystanders and emergency responders.

According to a news release from the Layton City Fire Department, individuals at the scene, including a nurse, provided immediate assistance to the injured hiker until first responders arrived. The patient was stabilized with the help of Davis County Search and Rescue and subsequently hoisted out by Life Flight for further medical treatment.

The collaboration of multiple agencies and the rapid response of bystanders were praised in the release, highlighting the importance of teamwork in emergencies.

As a safety reminder, the Layton City Fire Department cautioned hikers to remain vigilant and prepared for changing conditions on trails. They advised to exercise caution, especially around steep terrain and bodies of water.
