Utah Jazz Intensify Preparations Ahead of 2025 NBA Draft
As the June 26 NBA Draft approaches, the Utah Jazz are ramping up their preparations after years of planning. During last week’s draft combine in Chicago, the team interviewed potential top picks, including Cooper Flagg and Dylan Harper. With the fifth overall selection, the Jazz also engaged with various prospects, such as Ace Bailey from Rutgers and Tre Johnson from Texas.
The Jazz are conducting in-market workouts, targeting players mainly projected as second-round picks. Notable athletes like Sean Pedulla (Ole Miss) and RJ Davis (North Carolina) are among those slated for workouts as the May 28 deadline for college players to withdraw from the draft looms.
Recent withdrawals, including Boogie Fland, who will return to Arkansas after entering the transfer portal, illustrate the fluidity of draft decisions. The Jazz plan to conduct further workouts in June, especially with players interviewed at the combine. Additionally, international prospects unable to attend the combine will participate in an NBA-sanctioned event that week, ensuring the Jazz are well-prepared to make informed selections in the upcoming draft.
