Utah Valley’s 100 Women Who Care Raise Over $190K for Local Charities

Local Women Unite to Support Charities at Utah Valley Meeting

OREM — The Utah Valley Chapter of Women Who Care continues to make a significant impact on local charities, recently donating $15,000 to Dine Bi Chidi, a charity dedicated to providing vehicles for the Navajo community, helping them access essential resources like clean water and food.

Founded in 2019 by Jessica Farnsworth, the chapter aims to create a community focused on charitable efforts in Utah County. “We envisioned gathering 100 members, fostering a culture of giving, education, and connection,” Farnsworth stated.

At their quarterly meetings, women network and hear presentations from various local charities. Joe Tuaia’ana, founder of the i love you, bro Project, spoke at the latest gathering, sharing insights on mental health support for men, enabled by previous funding from the organization.

Members, contributing $100 each quarter, engage directly in the funding process, voting for the charities they feel are most deserving. Since its inception, the chapter has donated over $190,000 to local organizations and aims to expand membership to 200. New member Cindy Brown emphasized the importance of shared perspectives among women, reinforcing the chapter’s commitment to community support.
