Utah State Women’s 4x400m Relay Breaks Long-Standing Record at Franson Last Chance

AZUSA, Calif. — Utah State’s track & field team made headlines this weekend as the women’s 4×400-meter relay squad shattered a 27-year-old school record during the Franson Last Chance meet. Comprising freshman Mashaylee Jones, and seniors Emma Reeves and Adi Nielson, along with junior Alison Richter, the team clocked an impressive 3:38.66, surpassing the previous record of 3:38.93 set in 1996.

This significant achievement not only marked the first time any of Utah State’s seven records established by Hall of Famer LaDonna Antoine-Watkins were broken but also improved their previous best time from the Beach Invitational by 0.90 seconds. The thrilling performance was a culmination of a remarkable outdoor regular season for the Aggies.

Looking ahead, Utah State will compete in the 2025 Mountain West Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Clovis, California, from May 15-17. Fans eager to support the team can follow their journey on social media platforms, including X and Facebook.

The Franson Last Chance meet was held at Cougar Stadium in Azusa, California, on May 9-10, 2025.
