Cooper Webb Clinches Supercross Championship; Chase Sexton Triumphs in Salt Lake City Finale

Salt Lake City, Utah, (May 11, 2025) – Chase Sexton of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing secured his seventh win of the season in a commanding performance at the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship finale held at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Despite starting strong, Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Cooper Webb settled for fourth place, his finish cementing his victory in the championship—his third title, joining an elite list of seven riders with multiple premier class championships.

Malcolm Stewart delivered an impressive ride, moving from seventh to finish second, energizing the crowd. Justin Cooper rounded out the podium with third place, marking his third consecutive podium finish of the season.

In the 250SX East/West Showdown, Haiden Deegan dominated, winning the race while Tom Vialle captured the Eastern Divisional title amid a frantic battle featuring contenders Seth Hammaker and RJ Hampshire.

Post-race, Sexton acknowledged Webb’s strong season, while Stewart commended the fan support. Webb expressed his joy and gratitude for his team and fans, emphasizing the personal significance of his title after previous injuries.

As the Supercross season wraps up, racers now set their sights on the upcoming AMA Pro Motocross season, featuring streamlined events leading to the SMX World Championship. Tickets are already available for the summer series.
