Utah State Track and Field to Conclude Regular Season at Franson Last Chance Meet
LOGAN, Utah – Utah State University’s track and field team is set to conclude its regular season at the Franson Last Chance Meet on May 9-10 in Azusa, California. Events will begin Friday at 2 p.m. and continue Saturday at noon at Cougar Stadium.
The Aggies head into the meet with strong momentum, returning seven all-Mountain West (MW) performers from the 2024 outdoor season. The men’s team finished fourth at the MW Outdoor Championships, led by junior Logan Hammer, who set a conference record with a pole vault of 5.62 meters. Junior Javin Richards also had a standout performance, earning medals in both the pole vault and decathlon.
On the women’s side, senior Emma Thornley secured a bronze in the 10,000 meters, while senior Adi Nielson was a key member of the successful 4×400-meter relay team.
Notably, Utah State distance runners have rewritten school records this season, with impressive performances from athletes like graduate Camren Todd, who clocked a 10,000 meters in 28:10.91.
With 16 athletes qualifying for the upcoming NCAA West First Rounds in College Station, Texas, the Aggies are poised for a strong postseason run. Fans can follow the team on social media for live updates and results.
