Utah Tech University Celebrates Record-Breaking 2025 Graduating Class
ST. GEORGE, UT (05/06/2025) – Utah Tech University proudly honored its 2025 graduating class of 3,088 students during its 114th Commencement ceremonies held on May 1 and 2. To accommodate the growing number of graduates and their supporters, four ceremonies took place at the M. Burns Arena.
This year’s class reflects the university’s dedication to hands-on learning and student success, with 3,547 degrees and certificates awarded. President Shane B. Smeed remarked on the resilience and innovation of the graduates, noting their preparedness to impact their communities.
Notable statistics highlight the class’s diversity: Students aged 16 to 70 represented 27 countries and 42 U.S. states, with women making up 62% of graduates. Notably, 28% were first-generation college students. Degree distributions included 38% bachelor’s degrees, 30% associate degrees, and 30% certificates, among others.
