Syracuse Utah Temple Opens to the Public
Syracuse, UT—The Syracuse Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is set to open its doors to the public this week, with anticipation building following its announcement by President Russell M. Nelson in April 2020. This temple marks the 22nd in Utah and is part of the church’s growing presence, which includes 10 more temples either under construction or in planning phases.
Elder Kevin R. Duncan, General Authority Seventy, led a media tour, reflecting on his own ties to the land, highlighting the temple as a central place for both long-time residents and newcomers. The temple will be dedicated on June 8, 2025, with a single session broadcast to all units within its district.
Covering approximately 90,000 square feet and situated on a 12-acre site, the temple features design motifs inspired by local flora and the nearby Great Salt Lake. The interiors showcase art glass that captures the essence of the environment, further connecting the temple to the community.
As Utah’s church presence grows, the community is invited to experience this new sacred space during the public open house from May 10-31, 2025.
