Published: May 4, 2025
CINCINNATI – Former Utah State standout Tori Parkinson captured the women’s title at the 2025 Flying Pig Marathon, completing the course in an impressive unofficial time of 2:40:09. This marks her first Flying Pig event and places her as the second-fastest woman in the marathon’s history, just over six minutes shy of the record set by Tatyana Pozdnyakova in 2002.
Reflecting on her race experience, Parkinson noted, "Definitely was hard. I hurt, but I had so much fun. I loved it.” Acknowledging the course’s notorious hills, she expressed surprise at the challenge posed by the terrain.
Parkinson’s athletic prowess is well-established, holding multiple records at Utah State, including the fastest time for the indoor 4,000m Distance Medley Relay and ranking among the top times in several other events.
Looking forward, she is eager to return, stating, "I would love to try to run faster next year." As she embarks on her journey in the Flying Pig tradition, fans and supporters eagerly anticipate her future performances.
Congratulations to Tori Parkinson on her remarkable achievement!
