Utah State Men’s Tennis Earns All-Tournament Honors
LOGAN, Utah – Utah State University’s men’s tennis team has made a significant mark at the 2025 Mountain West Tournament, with three players named to the All-Tournament Team. Senior David Martirosian, sophomore Mohammad Alkotop, and freshman Roman Venger each received recognition for their outstanding performances in singles play.
The Aggies showcased their skill by advancing to the semifinals of the tournament, defeating San Diego State 4-1 before succumbing to New Mexico 4-2. Alkotop was a standout, achieving a dominant 6-0, 6-2 victory against SDSU and staging a thrilling comeback with a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 win over the Lobos. Venger also impressed with a 6-3, 6-4 win at the fourth position against the Aztecs, while Martirosian closed out his match against New Mexico with a convincing 6-1, 6-0 victory.
