Skeletal Remains Identified as Missing Alpine Woman

ALPINE, Utah (KUTV) — The Lone Peak Police Department has confirmed that skeletal remains found in Lambert Park have been identified as those of Gabrielle "Gabbie" Makenna Shull, a 24-year-old who went missing in January 2024. The Utah Office of the Medical Examiner identified Shull through dental records, providing closure to her family and friends after a painstaking 16-month search.

Authorities began investigating after the remains were discovered on April 25, responding to reports of suspected human remains in the undeveloped park, popular for recreational activities like biking and hiking. While the examination process is ongoing, police have stated there is currently no indication of foul play.

The community and law enforcement engaged in extensive searches of Lambert Park and surrounding areas since Shull’s disappearance, illustrating the deep concern and commitment to finding her. This unfortunate conclusion underscores the challenges faced in missing person cases, while offering some resolution to those who loved her. Updates on the investigation are expected as the forensic examination continues.
