Utah State Softball Prepares for Final Series Against Boise State
LOGAN, UT—The Utah State Aggies softball team (26-22, 11-8 Mountain West) is set to conclude their regular season with a crucial three-game series against Boise State in Idaho, kicking off on May 1 and running through May 3. All games will be available on the Mountain West Network and via live stats.
Historically, Utah State trails Boise State 13-30 in their series, though the Aggies snapped a 17-game losing streak last season. Currently, USU boasts impressive stats, ranking in the top 50 nationally in multiple categories, including batting average and home runs. Under second-year coach Todd Judge, the team has amassed 26 wins, the third most since 1997.
Senior standout Ariel Fifita has set multiple individual records, including career runs and on-base streaks. Teammate Giselle Gonzalez leads the team with 16 home runs, breaking the program record for a single season. Utah State’s offensive prowess has already led to new records in runs, RBIs, and total bases this year.
Looking ahead, the Aggies have secured a spot in the upcoming Mountain West Softball Championship, scheduled for May 7-10 in San Diego, marking their return to postseason play since 2016.
