Utah Players Shine in 2025 NFL Draft and Signings

The 2025 NFL Draft wrapped up after three days, seven rounds, and 257 selections, marking a significant milestone for several athletes with Utah connections. This year’s draft showcased an array of talent from universities across the state, with players moving into various teams through both drafts and free agency.

Notable draft outcomes include Jaxson Dart, a quarterback who played college football at Ole Miss and USC, selected by the New York Giants as the 25th overall pick. Additionally, Jeffrey Bassa, a linebacker from Oregon by way of Kearns High, was picked by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round, along with Jackson Hawes, a tight end drafted by the Buffalo Bills.

Blake Mangelson, a defensive tackle from BYU and Juab High, secured a spot with the Pittsburgh Steelers, while Tyler Batty, a defensive end, also from BYU, joined the Minnesota Vikings. Other significant signings include Connor Pay, a center with the Las Vegas Raiders, and Dorian Singer, a wide receiver who received a mini-camp invite from the Raiders.

Utah State and Southern Utah players contributed to the mix, with Wyatt Bowles signing with the Los Angeles Rams and Lyle Santos earning a mini-camp invite from the Las Vegas Raiders.
