Three Utah football walk-ons – Alex Cloward, Reece Parmenter, and Mike Tauteoli – were recently awarded scholarships after spring practices concluded. These student-athletes beat the odds by joining the elite club of players who go on to compete at the Division I level. Cloward, a former three-sport athlete, was a standout in high school and recorded impressive stats in his senior year. Tauteoli, the son of a former Utes linebacker, also excelled in multiple sports and recorded 32 tackles in his senior season. Parmenter, a standout offensive lineman, earned All-Region first-team honors in high school. The trio’s hard work and dedication paid off, and they were rewarded with scholarships for the upcoming season. This achievement is a testament to their commitment to the sport and determination to succeed at the collegiate level.
