The annual Crimson Carpet Awards Show, put on by Utah’s student-athlete Crimson Council, celebrated student-athlete achievement and leadership from the 2024-25 school year at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The event included five new awards centered around the “3 Cs” pillars of Utah Athletics student-athlete experience: Excellence in the Classroom, Competition, and Community. Men’s lacrosse student-athlete Brendan Belz delivered the senior speech, expressing gratitude to the Utah Athletics community. Director of Athletics Mark Harlan thanked and congratulated the student-athletes, calling seniors to sing the Utah fight song.
The awards included recognitions for academic achievements, team GPAs, scholar-athlete awards, community service awards, leadership awards, and new high-performance awards. The event also honored individuals who exhibited selfless service behind the scenes, while recognizing teams that contributed the most to the community. New awards like the True Grit Award recognized perseverance in overcoming adversity, and the Three Cs of Excellence Athlete of the Year highlighted senior student-athletes excelling in academics, athletics, and community engagement. The event showcased the dedication and accomplishments of Utah’s student-athletes across various areas.
