Senior Grace McCallum of the 2025 Utah Gymnastics team has been named WCGA Region 2 Gymnast of the Year after an impressive season that saw her earn numerous accolades and awards. McCallum, who is also a finalist for the AAI Award, has had a standout season and is ranked among the top gymnasts in the country in several categories. She has earned multiple perfect 10s and has a total of 77 career wins.
In addition to McCallum’s success, Senior Associate Athletics Director Cathy Badger was named Administrator of the Year for her work with the Red Rocks gymnastics team. Under Badger’s guidance, the team has continued their tradition of excellence both in competition and in the classroom. The Red Rocks have maintained their high standards of performance this season, winning the Regular Season and Big 12 Championships and securing their 49th consecutive trip to the NCAA National Championships.
The team has also excelled academically, with a 100% Graduation Success Rate and a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher for 59 consecutive semesters. Badger’s impact on the team has been felt in her first season working as their Sport Supervisor, with the team continuing to be a force both on and off the competition floor.
The Red Rocks will look to build on their success as they head to the NCAA National Championships in Fort Worth, Texas next weekend. With McCallum leading the way as a standout senior and Badger providing strong leadership behind the scenes, the team is poised for continued success in their pursuit of a national championship.
