Nomination for King Clancy Memorial Trophy Awarded to Kerfoot

Utah Hockey Club has chosen forward Alexander Kerfoot as its first-ever nominee for the 2024-25 King Clancy Memorial Trophy, which recognizes NHL players who exemplify leadership on and off the ice while making significant contributions to their communities. Kerfoot, known for his dedication, leadership, and work ethic, has focused on growing the game of hockey in Utah, particularly for young girls, by providing unique access and experiences.

Kerfoot and his wife Marissa have donated tickets to youth female hockey players, allowing them to watch warmups from the bench, interact with players, and attend games. In addition, he has made appearances at various community events and organizations, including the Ogden Lady Mustangs and Make-A-Wish. On the ice, Kerfoot has had a successful season with Utah, leading in various statistical categories.

The King Clancy Memorial Trophy winner will be selected from the nominees by a committee of NHL executives and former winners, with the winner receiving a $25,000 donation for charity. The trophy honors Frank “King” Clancy, a respected figure in the NHL.
