The University of Utah softball team is gearing up for an exciting week of home games at Dumke Family Softball Stadium, starting with a matchup against Saint Mary’s on Thursday at 3 p.m. The team will then face off against the Kansas Jayhawks in their first home Big 12 series, with games on Friday at 4 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m., and Sunday at 12 p.m. Fans can catch all the action on ESPN+ and follow live stats on UtahUtes.com.
To kick off their home opener weekend, the Utes will be giving away free hot chocolate, hosting Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day on Thursday, and handing out free Utah Team 50 hoodies to the first 100 fans on Friday. Saturday’s game will be followed by postgame autographs.
In their last outing against Arizona, standout performances from Jolie Mayfield and Shelbi Ortiz fueled the team, with Mayfield leading in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging, and home runs. Heading into the series, the Utes are looking to continue their strong hitting at home.
Their opponents, the Saint Mary’s Gaels and Kansas Jayhawks, are also coming off strong performances, setting the stage for exciting matchups throughout the weekend.
The 2025 season marks the 50th season of competition for Utah Softball, with a rich history of accomplishments, including trips to the Women’s College World Series and numerous All-American selections. Head coach Amy Hogue is also approaching milestones in her coaching career.
