Utah State junior Logan Hammer will be competing at the 2025 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships in Virginia Beach on March 14. Hammer, the seventh-ranked men’s pole vaulter in the country, set the Utah State indoor pole vault record with a jump of 5.61 meters at the Tyson Invitational. Director of Track & Field/Cross Country, Artie Gulden, expressed excitement for Hammer’s qualification and readiness for the championships.
Hammer has been rewriting records throughout the season, breaking the school record four times. He is the first Utah State athlete to qualify for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships since 2018. The Aggies had a strong showing at the Mountain West Indoor Championships, with Hammer winning his second-straight conference title in the men’s pole vault.
