The University of Utah divers concluded the NCAA Zone E Championships with three more qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Senior Holly Waxman finished second in the one-meter event, securing her third appearance at NCAAs. Junior Kathryn Grant placed third in the one-meter event, adding a second event to her NCAA schedule. Freshman Callie Eaglestone also qualified for the NCAA one-meter springboard event, earning a place on both springboards. However, graduate Jesco Helling finished 11th in the platform event and junior Elias Petersen ended 13th, just missing out on qualifying for NCAAs.
Head dive coach Richard Marschner expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance at Zones, highlighting the successful qualification of three women in the top five on one-meter. The Utah swimmers are now preparing to compete at the CSCAA National Invitational in Ocala, Fla. The meet will begin on Thursday at the FAST Facility.
