Man accused in 2021 Afghanistan bombing that claimed Utah Marine’s life to stand trial in the US


President Donald Trump announced that the individual responsible for organizing the 2021 suicide bombing in Afghanistan that killed Utah Marine Staff Sgt. Taylor Hoover and 12 others will be prosecuted in the United States. Hoover was laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery and remembered as a brave and humorous man by family and loved ones. His fiancée, Nicole Wiess, shared their plans for a wedding upon his return from deployment. Marine Sgt. Wyatt Wilson, also from Utah, was seriously injured while saving a fellow soldier during the attack. Those injured in the bombing left a lasting impact on the Utah community.
