Utah State Gymnastics Secures Victory Against Boise State
Utah State gymnastics achieved a significant win against Mountain West competitor Boise State with a final score of 196.300-195.900 on Friday night at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. This victory marked their first win against Boise State since the 2022 season and broke a seven-meet losing streak against the Broncos.
The team showcased a strong performance across all events, winning three event titles and achieving seven career highs and two season highs. Freshman Lundyn VanderToolen shined with a standout performance on bars, earning a career-high score of 9.925. Graduate Brianna Brooks also impressed, winning the beam title with a score of 9.875, while graduate Jenna Eagles and sophomore Isabella Vater shared the floor title with a score of 9.875 each.
Head Coach Kristin White expressed pride in the team’s performance, emphasizing their ability to overcome mistakes and show a strong mindset throughout the competition. The win against Boise State after three years reinforces the team’s confidence as they head into the Mountain West Championships.
