Public unions in Utah continue to push for reversal of collective bargaining bill


In Utah, public unions are still fighting to overturn a recently-passed collective bargaining bill that eliminates collective bargaining for public workers. House Bill 267 was signed by Governor Spencer Cox on Feb. 14, sparking protests from unions and workers. However, unions have the opportunity to overturn the bill through a referendum, which would require signatures equal to 8% of active voters in the state and in at least 15 Senate districts. The deadline to submit the application is March 12.
