Runnin’ Utes Star Player: Brandon Haddock

Brandon Haddock, the longest-tenured member of the Utah Runnin’ Utes, is entering his senior season and reflecting on his journey from Texas to Utah. Haddock, originally from Southlake, Texas, had a successful high school career at Carroll High School, where he excelled as a point guard and was named the offensive MVP of his district.

After signing with the Runnin’ Utes, Haddock scored his first collegiate points during his freshman season against Coastal Carolina. He then took a two-year hiatus to complete a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in Las Vegas and Micronesia, gaining valuable life experiences that he now carries with him on the court.

Throughout his time at Utah, Haddock has cherished moments like the team’s victory over #6 Kentucky in Las Vegas and has emphasized the strong bond among his teammates this season. As the Runnin’ Utes continue their season in the Big 12, Haddock is grateful for the opportunity to play alongside his teammates and finish his college basketball career on a high note.

Haddock and the Runnin’ Utes are preparing to face the Kansas State Wildcats on Feb. 17 at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. With his dedication and commitment to the team, Haddock is determined to make the most of his final season as a Utah basketball player.
