Hawai’i Softball Secures Walk-off Win Against Utah Tech in Spring Fling Tournament
In a thrilling match on Day Two of the Spring Fling Tournament, Hawai’i’s softball team secured a walk-off win against Utah Tech with a final score of 3-2. Pinch hitter Millie Fidge emerged as the hero of the game, driving in the tying and winning runs with a shot down the third baseline. Starting pitcher Addison Kostrencich earned the complete game win, improving to 3-1 for the season.
Utah Tech took an early 1-0 lead, but Hawai’i fought back and tied the score. Despite falling behind again in the sixth inning, Hawai’i’s resilient defense shut down the Trailblazers in the final inning, setting the stage for their comeback. With bases loaded, Fidge’s clutch hit sealed the victory for Hawai’i.
