Ski Team Emerges Victorious in Utah Invitational


The Utah Ski Team dominated their home meet at the Spencer F. Eccles Olympic Mountain Center, finishing in first place in the team standings. Johs Braathen Herland and Harry Hoffman secured silver and bronze in the men’s slalom race, while Kaja Norbye took silver in the women’s competition. Utah tallied 757 points, with a significant lead over Colorado and Denver. The team also led in alpine scoring, with Herland and Hoffman performing exceptionally well. Despite a challenging course, Utah’s skiers pushed through, with Oliver Parazette and Sindre Myklebust finishing in the top 20. In the women’s race, Norbye and Claire Timmermann shone, with Melanie Dahlberg also securing a top-10 finish. The team will next compete in Alaska, with alpine races scheduled for February 19 and 21, followed by the Nordic event on February 16.
