Utah Hockey Club Trades for Forward Sammy Walker from the Minnesota Wild, Sending Future Considerations in Return


The Utah Hockey Club has made a significant trade, acquiring forward Sammy Walker from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for future considerations. Walker, a 25-year-old native of Edina, Minnesota, has been assigned to the Tucson Roadrunners of the AHL. With 13 career NHL games under his belt, Walker has shown promise on the ice and is now looking to make an impact with his new team.

During his time with the Iowa Wild in the AHL, Walker has put up impressive numbers, tallying 43 goals and 61 assists in 156 games. He finished among the league leaders in goals and power-play goals as a rookie and was selected to the AHL All-Star Classic. Walker also had a successful collegiate career at the University of Minnesota, where he served as captain for three seasons and was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year.

With his experience at both the professional and collegiate levels, Walker brings a strong skillset and leadership to the Utah Hockey Club. Fans are looking forward to seeing what he can accomplish with his new team.
