Patty Mills traded from Utah Jazz to Los Angeles Clippers in 2025 NBA trade deadline period

NBA veteran Patty Mills has been traded to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of a four-way deal involving Drew Eubanks from the Utah Jazz, with P.J. Tucker and Mo Bamba going the other way. The trade, completed on Sunday, also includes a 2030 second-round draft pick and cash for the Jazz. This move helps the Clippers get under the luxury tax threshold and potentially opens up flexibility for other additions this season.

Bamba, who appeared in 28 games this season for the Clippers, has been averaging 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds. Tucker, who has not played for the Clippers this season, was part of a deal that brought James Harden from the Philadelphia 76ers last season. At 39 years old and in the final year of his contract, Tucker could potentially be a buyout candidate.

Eubanks, who recently turned 28, has been averaging 5.8 points for the Jazz this season. Mills, who was part of San Antonio’s 2014 championship team, has been averaging 4.4 points in 17 appearances with Utah. The trade deadline is approaching on Friday, and this move adds another chapter to Mills’ recent club merry-go-round in the NBA, having been traded to his fourth club in two years.
